The Winners & Losers of Social Networking [INFOGRAPHIC]

The course of social media never did run smooth — not for long, anyhow. And for some Web 2.0 companies, it’s running less smoothly than ever.
It goes without saying that Facebook is the network du jour, but even though the reigning champion’s user stats keep soaring, social networking as a whole might be leveling off. Nevertheless, there are still scores of other highly competitive social sites that are waxing and waning; and different networks and apps are more popular in specific geographic areas, with certain genders or age groups and even among various social classes.
For example, Plaxo is the network with the most users over the age of 65. Facebook is more popular with women, but Digg and Reddit tend to be more popular with men. LinkedIn is the “richest” social network, but Plurk outranks it when it comes to well-educated users who have graduate degrees.

OpenBuildings Unveils Its New Architecture Database And Raises $2 Million In Funding

The world is full of interesting and amazing buildings that are constantly being photographed and admired. But where do you go online to find them? If you’re one of about 50,000 registered users, the answer is OpenBuildings. Or perhaps you’re one of the 250,000 people that have downloaded their iPhone app. Either way, that base is about to expand thanks to a great-looking new site and a fresh round of funding.

OpenBuildings is an online database of buildings around the world. Right now, they have over 40,000 buildings in their archives with more being added each day. Started in 2010 by a group of architects studying in London, construction professionals and architecture lovers have quickly latched on to the site. And the new site should attract even more users.

En esta nueva versión a diferencia de la versión 1.48.89, veremos algunas correcciones que se hizo con las siguientes características:

Arreglos:
- Escenas mejorada ahora deben apoyar las rutas de archivos que contenían y, caracteres.

Cambios:
- Introducción "rugosidad" parámetro para difundir BRDF
- V-Ray por defecto del material que ahora se llama Norma
- Cambio de nombres de los materiales en el menú Crear material, ya no tienen la palabra "material" en el nombre.
- El menú de creación de material está en orden alfabético, que se encontraba en orden aleatorio antes de esta actualización.
- Reordenación de la interfaz de usuario para las opciones de rendir a ser un poco más optimizado.
- Se han eliminado de purga no utilizadas del menú del editor de material, haga clic en material adecuado, por lo que ahora es sólo están disponibles en el elemento de la escena materiales.
- Añadida la capacidad para ordenar la lista de materiales Alfabeto
